the Cancer Survivors Day 2024
Celebration of Live, Hope and Resilience
Every year, June is regarded as National Cancer Survivors Month, and The Oladele Foundation/African Cancer Support Group (ACSG), a charitable non-profit organization, is on its way for our third annual Cancer Survivors Day Celebration. This year’s theme is “Celebration of Life, Hope, and Resilience” – an event that honors different cultures, resilience, and the community’s strength. The Foundation joins the National Cancer Survivors Day to celebrate the hope, faith, resilience, and courage of cancer survivors, warriors, caregivers, and families within the Black community.
What is Cancer Survivors Day?
A cancer survivor is broadly defined as someone who has received a cancer diagnosis. Cancer Survivors Day is an international observance dedicated to celebrating the hope, resilience, and life of every individual who has faced a cancer diagnosis. It’s a powerful reminder that the journey doesn’t end with a diagnosis, but rather it’s an opportunity to honor the incredible strength and perseverance of those affected by this disease.
Our goal is to reduce the number of people within the community dying of cancer through:
• Support to those currently going through the cancer journey.
• Cancer education and awareness campaign within the black communities.
• De-stigmatization of cancer within the Black Communities.
• Provision of personalized, tailored psychological support.
This year’s objective:
